Dublin Half Marathon 2026 Water Stations

More than 40 volunteers from Dunboyne Scout Group were up bright and early on Sunday morning, 20th September, to help a run water stations for the Dublin Half Marathon in the Phoenix Park.

Over 40 of our leaders, parents and Ventures and Scouts generously gave up their Sunday morning, meeting before 7am to make sure the thousands of runners taking part had plenty of water and encouragement along the route. With around 8,000 runners taking part, it was a busy morning, but everyone played their part and helped make the event a great success.

Thankfully, the sun shone, the wind stayed away and the weather was perfect for both running and, more importantly, keeping 8,000 runners hydrated! It was fantastic to see so many members of the Dunboyne Scout Group community coming together, giving their time and supporting such a large local sporting event.

A huge go raibh maith agaibh go léir to all our leaders, parents, Ventures and Scouts who got out of bed so early and gave up their Sunday morning to help. Your time, energy and enthusiasm are hugely appreciated. Well done everyone!
