Dunboyne Scouts Fuel Runners at Phoenix Park Half Marathon!

What an incredible morning for the Dunboyne Scouts as we volunteered at the water stations for the Phoenix Park Half Marathon today! It was an early start, with our dedicated team arriving at the scout den at 7 am, full of energy and ready to make a difference.

By 7:30 am, we were already in position on Military Road in the beautiful Phoenix Park, setting up our water stations. A lovely autumn morning, perfect for both running and volunteering.

We had an amazing turnout of over 40 volunteers, a fantastic mix of our enthusiastic youth members, experienced scouters, and supportive parents. Everyone worked together seamlessly, ensuring everything was ready for the influx of runners.

And what an influx it was! Over 7,000 runners pounded the pavements of the Phoenix Park, and our Dunboyne Scout team was there every step of the way, offering refreshing water and encouragement.

A huge thank you to every single volunteer who gave up their Sunday morning to help out.
